Politics: 5th Column

We interrupt 4Columns  In Solidarity

While it remains impossible to fully grasp the internal politics of any institution, it is hard not to be struck by a sense of regrettable coincidence when considering the recent departure of three high-level museum professionals—all women, all fearless, all deeply engaged in art’s social and political potential, and its much-needed capacity to reshape our world.

4Columns stands in solidarity with:

Helen Molesworth, former chief curator, Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art (fired March 12, 2018) • María Inés Rodriguez, former director, Musée d’Art Contemporain de Bordeaux (fired March 6, 2018) • Laura Raicovich, former executive director, Queens Museum (resigned January 26, 2018)

Regularly scheduled programming will resume Monday.
